Life's Like A Jog

met with a terrible setback for my fyp... my future looks bleak... went for a long long jog to clear my mind tis afternoon.... had a lots of tots and think i'll blog them down...

Life's like a Jog...

Before you start jogging, you'll have a route in mind that you want to jog... Just like you'll need to know what you want in life...

when u start jogging, you feel refreshed, you enjoy the first moments, the wind in your hair, the breeze in your face... its like in life, when you start doing something you will do a lot of planning with anticipation and visualize how great the result will be...

then you'll start to feel tired, dun feel like going on, but you have only just started not long ago... so you'll not rest but instead just heck care the tireness and carry on...same goes for doing things in life...

along the way you look at the scenery, the trees, the brids, nice architecture, and soon forget the tireness just a while ago... your legs just keep on moving without your mind conciously doing it... Just like in life, you are met with little motivations along the way, and you do things without much effort, the just-do-it attitude...

here comes the uphill... you feel like giving up and just walk... but you need to know that once you stop it will be harder for you to start again and continue your jog... the steeper the hill, the more concentration you'll need to focus on your breathing and movement of legs to get you thru this hill... calf is getting tired, you change your way of running to using your hamstring more instead of calf and now you can continue the uphill.... In life, nothing comes easy but you will need to look long term that once you stop it is harder for you to start again and costs you the results... the more difficult the tasks the more effort needs to be put in... if the method you are using is not giving you results right now it may be feasible to use an alternative...

Here comes the downhill... you enjoy the ease of running the downhill but you cannot sprint all the way down because you know once you reach the end of the downslope you will be tired out and cannot jog anymore... so you will just jog at a same or slightly faster pace using much lesser effort and enjoy the jog, picking up nice scenery around you once again... Here comes the fruits of the labor after you complete an uphill task in life, but you should not exploit the comfort otherwise you may not be able to conitnue after the easy period is over... Instead, during the easy time you still be consistent and pick up motivation to help you finish the job...

A long flat ground to cover before you finish your jog... it becomes increasingly difficult to continue being drained but you know the finish line is just not far away... Within the 100 meters from the finish line you find you are surprised to find lots of reserve energy within and push all the way through.... Same goes for finishing things in life... You feel exhausted but you still move on, with increasing energy instead, knowing that the finish line is just ahead...

Just like in a jog, there is no point looking back, but at the crossroads you will need to look around to spot any dangers coming from the sides before you carry on.... Along the way you feel that there are eyes on you and you put up a not-tired look and make things look nice... they can be good and be your motivations...

You may be able to overtake someone who is running slower than you, but also accept the fact that someone fitter can also surpass you.... you may try to match up his pace if you think you can do so but you may end up making yourself more tired and still be behind... and end up worse off than when you are running at your own consistent pace....

One difference.... you only live once....
